Price List FAQs

by Nicholas Chan
Question 1: I created a price list already, why can't my buyer select my products?
Something we see quite often is that people have gone through the process of creating their price list, but they forgot the most important step to assign it to their buyer. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.
- Go to the edit button next to "buyers assigned this list" on the Prices page+.
- Select the buyer you want to assign the price list to.
- Wait for 15 minutes for the data to transfer.
- Assign the same price list to multiple buyers if desired.
Question 2: what if I need to change the retail prices of my products?
Convictional will pull the pricing data that is associated with your products either in your integrated e-commerce account or if you've manually uploaded your products will take whatever you included in your CSV product file.
While this may work for most users, sometimes there are situations where the retail prices are different than whatever is tied to your products that we pulled in from e-commerce platforms.
If that is the case, we do offer a really easy way to make any edits needed on any of your products in your price list.
Question 3: Can I remove a product from my price list without completely deleting it from my convictional account? The answer is yes.
Question 4: Can I add a new product into my existing price list?
Yes, we get this one often people sometimes think they have to make a totally new list to add in products But that is not true.
Question 5: why have my prices changed if I did not make edits in my price list?
Typically we get this question from users who are integrated with an e-commerce platform such as Shopify or WooCommerce and there is a setting in the price list that may be contributing here.
So if you have noticed any changing prices when you didn't directly make edits, here's how to solve:
- Open your existing price list
- Scroll down and locate the "ignore product updates" setting on the side
- Determine if the setting is turned off or on (if off, price changes made in your integrated account will reflect in your price list automatically)
- Turn the setting on or off as desired
- If manual edits to pricing need to be made, open the price list and make the desired changes
- If you're still having trouble, refer to the price list creation tutorial video or email support@convictional.com for specific questions.
